Maxi-Cosi Pria 70 Convertible Car Seat, Total Black
I was a little hesitant to purchase a car seat without seeing it in person so I relied heavily on reviews. I have to say I like this one better than the first one we purchased for our daughter.
After much research we decided to purchase this car seat for our 1 year old. It fits nicely in our SUV even when backwards facing. I love the cool grey color versus the traditional black as it seems to get less hot. Our daughter fits snuggly and comfortably in her seat.
It sits higher up so she can actually see out the window and the built in cup holder is really convenient. The seat is comfortable and it’s simple to get her in and out. Car installation (we often move it in and out of grandparents’ cars) was a breeze and it is very sturdy. My favorite part is that is really cute and the fabric is good quality. The only downside is that it shows some stains (I haven’t looked into cleaning it yet so that could be a quick fix). Overall a great buy.
The only negative thing I have to say is that even though I do physical work with my hands, on a daily basis, I do not have enough strength in my hands to press the latch release. This is in part because it fits so close against the child’s body. Some of my friends with small kids say that their toddler unfastens their own car seats. Given the choice, I prefer the well-locked one, but it would be good to be able to achieve both goals! I have total peace of mind about this seat, which is why I purchased it.
– Baby loves it. Seems comfortable in it
– Seems very safe and well made. The air head support cushions and overall strong / sturdy structure of the seat give us peace of mind.
– Looks great / very high end.
– Fit / room to grow.
– Can be hard to tighten the straps to the point where they are really tight. I’ve heard this will get better as they get broken in.
